This work was an intervention of a bunker in Krefeld, Germany. The bunker was built in World War II to protect 10,000 people. The theme was “A refuge for humanity, dignity, and human rights”.

I developed my piece based on current events, in which many children do not have a home or refuge. I speak specifically of those who live in refugee camps, the migrants. Camps whose conditions are beneath basic dignity and do not meet the minimum standards necessary for a healthy living space. How do we hope to have a good future if our children lack a good present?

This piece is a utopia, imagined by kids whose lack of a basic living space propel them to dream of a fantasy. #adrydelrocio

Intervención de un bunker en Krefeld, Alemania construido en la II Guerra Mundial que refugiaba 10,000 personas. El tema a desarrollar fue precisamente «Un refugio para humanidad, dignidad y derechos humanos». Desarrollé mi obra con base al presente, en el qué muchos niños no tienen un refugio-casa digna, hablando concretamente de aquellos que viven en los campos de refugiados, los migrantes. Condiciones que están por debajo de la dignidad y derecho mínimo de crecer en un espacio saludable. ¿Cómo esperamos tener un buen futuro si nuestros niños no tienen un buen presente? Esta obra es una utopía, un idilio donde más que habitar en una casa, sólo pueden soñar con tenerla.

Un agradecimiento especial a @freddawouters quien hizo posible este proyecto. Sé todo el esfuerzo y pasión que implica realizarlo. Fue grandioso ver todos estos artistas reunidos con su visión. Te admiro Fredda. Y gracias a todo el equipo de Krefeld.
